Strata manufactures a wide range of Home, Office and Garden products for both the UK and worldwide markets and is one of the major suppliers of watering cans, water butts, compost bins, decorative planters and growing accessories in the UK.
As well as manufacturing a large range of robust and attractive storage boxes for the home and office, including a variety of flexi tubs and baskets in different colours and sizes.
The Company’s manufacturing site is situated in the heart of the United Kingdom in Nottinghamshire, close to junction 28 on the M1 motorway, making it ideally placed to offer an unrivalled distribution to customers in all parts of the country and worldwide.
The site enjoys state-of-the-art, 24/7 manufacturing with automation and ancillary equipment essential for highly competitive markets. The Company’s sound manufacturing base is enhanced by its use of real time computer-assisted stock control, linked to its sales order processing system. This sophisticated, networked computer system ensures that the Company copes efficiently and effectively with the rigorous demands of its customers.
All product development is carried out in-house. Strata’s product development programme is ongoing and the Company’s extensive market knowledge is incorporated into this process. As well as developing products for the general market, Strata also undertakes development of product that is customer specific and uses bespoke treatments for private label customers.
As a UK based manufacturer, Strata is committed to meeting, and where possible exceeding, all UK and European legislation governing product quality, employment, health and safety, waste disposal and other environmental practices.
In November 2015, Strata became part of the RPC Group (Now part of Berry Global), one of the world’s leading plastic products design and engineering companies. Strata continues to be run by the same management team as before.
In April 2016, Strata was delighted to receive a Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade. During 2017 Strata relaunched Ward gardening brand and developed a new heavy duty storage range.
2019 saw the Strata brand relaunch with a flagship showroom opening at the Nottingham manufacturing site. Strata continues to invest with £2.5 Million in new machines and new material handling system during 2021.
